 The future of Google Adsense

There have been many ideas about what AdSense will look like in the future and how the system will change from what it is now.

First, targeting algorithms will obviously become better and more powerful than they are now. This has been clearly seen in the Google search engine itself over the past few years, and it's no surprise that it's happening with AdSense. Advertisers will appear in more relevant results, and advertisers who manipulate their content to allow high paying keywords to appear may be challenged unless it is already relevant to their content.

The other thing that is bound to happen is greater protection for AdWords advertisers regarding click fraud. Google recognizes that this is a very basic issue that needs to be fixed as soon as possible and there is no doubt that it will happen as soon as possible. Currently, those with high levels of traffic can easily mask IP addresses and increase their CTR (click-through rate).

Google is always keen to improve its products and this has already been demonstrated in AdSense. The search engine company has introduced AdSense CPM for site targeting, "smart pricing" and domain blocking, and there are likely improvements that have already been added by other similar sites.

An example of this is an option that gives the advertiser more control over where content is displayed. This may mean preventing your site from showing up on multiple addresses hosting AdSense banners.

Another idea that has been developed is that Google will integrate AdSense into other forms of media such as newspapers, television, etc. While this may sound more on the science fiction side, there's no indication that it won't happen.

Google has access to an international pool of over 150,000 advertisers from which it can choose to enter offline markets in different countries. With Google's strong network of advertisers, they can choose to set or allow offline marketers to create an AdWords ad format that's in-content, in-search, and now offline.

More options can be implemented for AdSense publishers, allowing them to select their own keywords. Although Google was hesitant about this, there's no indication that this won't happen in the future.

Also, many people demand a clear definition of AdSense pricing policy. Google has given no indication as to why this public information is not present, but at present it seems highly unlikely that such information is present on Google AdSense.

Another feature that can end up in AdSense is to allow website publishers to see which links are driving clicks on their websites and based on the keywords they access.

This could possibly be a huge problem that could threaten the whole system as it could only encourage more AdSense sites as earnings become more transparent. Many people can create AdSense-only websites that are designed solely to generate income through AdSense.

As this is already happening today, it would be foolish for Google to put such tools in the hands of its publishers.

However, one thing that can happen is a way for users to solve their problems with low AdSense revenue on their sites. This could be done through an online wizard or something similar that would make suggestions to website owners based on their content.

But the main buzzword today is RSS. The ability to send targeted advertisements directly to users without needing to browse on their behalf becomes a reality with RSS. And there are clear signs that Google won't pass up such an opportunity.

This is what interactive television and similar products have been trying to do for some time. But the Internet would be a much better medium for this, because there is no interactive medium quite like the Internet.

But in the end, these are just speculations and Google will certainly surprise us with new features that we would never have thought of.
