Adsense Tools
If you've just jumped on the AdSense bandwagon and are looking for a quick way to make the profits you've seen on the internet, you might be interested in Kit.
These software tools are designed to help AdSense publishers better understand how traffic is flowing through their sites. Some will help you understand which keywords are making you more money and which sites are giving you the best AdSense payouts.
One of the best such tools available is AdSense Gold (http://www.profitbooks.com/go/astracker) which allows you to better understand which ads and formats are actually getting you more clicks and which are useful or almost useless.
This software works by tracking views and clicks on all pages of the publisher. It even goes so far as to let you know which referrer each visitor comes from.
There is a free tool called SynSense (http://www.singerscreations.com/RSS/Posts/235.asp) which is more than an AdSense monitoring tool. This is located in the drawer and provides the AdSense stats obtained when you hover your mouse over its icon. It is a very good tool for those who want to be aware of their AdSense performance at any time of the day.
Google provides you with statistics in csv format on their site. So someone created a tool that can automatically download these files and extract a lot of information from them. The name of this tool is CSV AdStats and it is available at http://www.nix.fr/en/csvadstats.aspx?q=download
It has a large number of features, including the ability to greatly customize reported statistics and export data and graphs to other formats. It is in French but the language can be easily changed to English.
Of course, any tool can only access these statistics for 15 minutes, but the authors are well aware of this fact and none of these tools will get you in trouble with Google because of it.
However, if you browse content most of the time and your tool of choice is the Firefox Internet browser, there is an extension for this program that allows you to display statistics in your status bar.
Again, this program knows and enforces Google's 15 minute rule, with 15 minutes being the minimum time between updates. The Google AdSense for Firefox alert program is available at http://code.mincus.com/?p=3
There is also a program called Golden Keywords that helps you get the best keywords for your site. It is really effective and very easy to use. However, it has a price, costing $49.95 and can be obtained from http://www.regnow.com/softsell/nph-softsell.cgi?item=8616-2
So, as you can see, developers are creating more and more programs aimed at helping you in your quest to maximize your AdSense earnings. But before you go looking for them, don't forget that Google has them too.
It offers reporting (although a bit limited) and using the Channels feature is a good way to see which ads on your site are actually generating the most revenue.
Stay tuned for new widgets that come out daily and make sure you invest some time in your site, because that's the real key to success with AdSense.
