 Google PPC: Content or Search?

When advertising with pay per click, Google offers the advertiser two main options. Search results advertising, website content advertising, or many choose to do both. Search advertising means the display of results on Google in searches and in search results for distributors. Google content advertising applies to websites that choose to integrate "Adsense" into their websites. With the rapid expansion of adsense, it is now visible on millions of web pages across the web. However, many advertisers eschew this in favor of simply advertising in search results.

There are several reasons for this, and the first of them is trust. It was the result of smaller sites, thanks to adsense empires choosing to engage in click fraud. Although this problem occurs in research, it is much less controlled. Those who commit search click fraud are those who try to hurt a competitor's return on investment. With Adsense, the same is true, with a website owner trying to increase their revenue using similar tactics.

Another reason website owners choose content marketing is buyer motivation when they are on a website. Someone may be on a different website, other than the advertisers, for completely different reasons. For example, a website discussing the flaws of Adsense may refer advertisements to those selling "Adsense websites" for example. People may click on it, but they are very unlikely to buy after reading a negative review. Another reason could be that the person on the AdSense website was actually looking for the best color scheme to use. Thus, the person will not find the ad relevant, but can click on the ad without concern.

Adsense websites are often rejected by the advertiser because they feel it is too much management. Check websites for relevance and change their bids to make sure they stay on the page. With some words having a network of over 500 sites, this is certainly a tedious and expensive task. While this is the case, many also find that their AdWords account shows websites that don't seem to be trying to support their keywords. A mature example is those that advertise under legal terms and appear on the "Terms and Conditions" and "Privacy Policy" pages of AdSense sites.

Although many disapprove of content advertising, there are still those who believe it offers a similar return on investment to search. One reason for this can be found in the fact that more and more advertisers are opting for search only. When this happens, the advertiser has less competition, so the price per word goes down. Advertisers also get a good return on investment from publisher websites that have decided to actively promote the advertiser's services within their own content. An example of this can be seen when someone discusses print services and directly recommends the advertiser's services. This is a positive step for both publisher and advertiser, and a good way for publishers to move forward. Despite this, publishers still need to remember, not to be too obvious, otherwise smart buyers will definitely calculate publisher intent.

Another reason advertisers choose content is to increase their volume, but this can also be done through other search engines. However, the fact remains that those who choose content ads should choose the Google Adsense network. It is highly regulated and above its peers from Yahoo and others, while its superior network of publishers means advertisers will benefit from being able to get their message across through a variety of websites.

Although Adsense is the best PPC content distributor, it certainly does not compare to search advertisers. When researched, leads are more qualified, more structured, and less fraudulent. This has led advertisers to consistently choose search over content. However, this advertiser should still test Adsense and see if it can deliver the ROI they are looking for. Some advertisers claim that content provides a better return for their business than search. It varies, but in general, search remains king for PPC advertisers.
